Advanced networking is an important subject as you're not going to walk into an enterprise environment and see simple, isolated VPCs that just do one thing. In fact, you're going to see VPCs that are networked together, with firewalls and all kinds of appliances between them doing a variaty of things like packet inspection and logging. That's all pretty advanced stuff and right now, we don't need to worry about that.

Instead, we're going to focus on the advanced networking concepts that you can get into place now quickly whilst also learning a lot about some pretty heavily used technologies.
